A time of transition

Summers gone and here in Hamilton that means the unofficial start to Canada's third season. Between the hot summer and the cold winter, there is of course construction season.

For me its a time of transition. My temp job contract at Cadbury ended after four months so it's on to new jobs.

Thanks to the remnents of Hurricane Ernesto it's also a little clean up around the humble abode. Ernesto gave us horizontal rain for the most part of the weekend and that caused the roof to leak and a nice puddle in the basement.

I've also been doing some fall cleaning here at Kenazs'. I've changed the format a bit. Added a third column, added a more user friendly archive calendar, added a new picture link to my sister Denises family blog, played around with the fonts in order to give a more clean look and replaced the huge banner ads with a less obtrusive box at the bottom. The only problem I'm having is how to get the content to display in the right spot. I've dug around and tried many of the fixes, changed the column widths, padding etc. Even tried to play around with the browser settings, disallowing resizing, nothing.

Sorry, for now you are going to have to put up with a little scrolling to read my posts.

Anyway to keep in the spirit of the changing season, I've decided to share this cartoon I drew depicting my feelings on public transit. A necessary evil for the blue colour guy who relies on Hamilton's black and gold express(?). It's entitled "Hell Ride". Strange odours, odd people and a drive that isn't always smooth. Riding the bus is a regular Bernardo Bertolucci film casting call (cue the hobo, clown and large obnoxious guy). Enjoy.

Later,
Kenaz
