Classic Mastercard and Visa Commercials

10 Classic Icons From Leading Consumer Brands Star in MasterCard Commercial.Included in the commercial are: Count Chocula®™ (General Mills), Chef Boyardee®™ (ConAgra Foods), Mr. Peanut®™ (Kraft Foods), the Pillsbury Doughboy®™ (General Mills), Charlie The Tuna®™ (Del Monte Foods), the Jolly Green Giant®™ (General Mills), the Morton Salt Girl®™ (Rohm and Haas), Mr. Clean®™ (Procter & Gamble), Gorton's Fisherman®™ and the Vlasic Stork®™ (Pinnacle Foods).

The 10 characters are seated at a "family style" dinner table passing various dishes to each other. Count Chocula accepts a plate of broccoli from the Jolly Green Giant. Voice over: broccoli... $1.79 on debit card. Charlie Tuna serves himself some tuna casserole from the dish and offers, "Casserole, anyone?" as he passes the dish to Count Chocula. Voice over: tuna... $3.59 (screen reads, "three pouches of tuna ... $3.59"). A roast is passed in front of Count Chocula - much to his delight. A plate of crescent rolls are shown as the Morton Salt Girl feels tempted and then finally pokes the Pillsbury Doughboy in the stomach. He replies with his trademark laugh, "Hee Hee!" Voice over: crescent rolls... $1.99. The Vlasic Stork is shown next to Chef Boyardee. Voice over: getting everyone together for dinner... Vlasic Stork: "You certainly are in a pickle!" Everyone at the table chuckles. Voice over: ... priceless. Charlie Tuna walks in to the kitchen with a stack of dirty dishes and comments, "I'm stuffed to the gills." Mr. Clean is shown in the kitchen waiting patiently for the dishes. The spot culminates with a variation on the MasterCard's traditional ending. Voice over: there are some things money can't buy ... for everything else there's Debit MasterCard ... accepted at your favorite supermarket.



A single gal is in distress. Who's she going to call? The mighty Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, the X-Men. No... Underdog is here! This is from Visa put out 2005 and in the same vein.
