A Look At The Canadian's Heading To Torrino

Cbc.ca Begins February 10th

Speed skating star Catriona Le May Doan carries the Canadian flag as she leads the Canadian team into the stadium for the opening of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.

The 2006 Olympics starts in 21 days and Canada is preparing to cheer on their favourite athletes. Canada will send 168 athletes to compete in 15 mens and womens sports.

The Olympics is a unique event in which to see the stars we all know complete, the likes of Hockey superstars Rob Blake, Danny Heatley and womens ledgend Cassie Campbell.

Torrino will also be the place to see athletes compete in sports that don't get much media exposure outside the Olympics. Sports the likes of Bobsleigh and Speed Skating, that offer us a chance to watch incredible athletes the likes of Pierre Lueders and Jeremy Wotherspoon who are the Gretzky's of their respective sports.

Saying that, from now through the Olympics I will be offering my views of Canada at the Olympics. Today I offer an extensive look at all the athletes heading to Torrino.
