An opening of one's knowledge, capabilities, vision and guidance. The Kenaz is about creating a relationship, learning and allowing room for interpretation. When you are in the darkness,an opening with light is the best and most gracious thing to have bestowed upon you. This is a great time for putting energies into new opportunities. Killer Confesses To Murdering Alicia Ross

The man who lived next door to 25-year-old Alicia Ross appeared in court to face a murder charge today less than a day after a fit of conscience spurred him to turn himself over to police, who quickly recovered the missing woman's remains.

Daniel Sylvester, 31, of Markham, Ont., was accompanied by his lawyer Tuesday when he turned himself over to police and was charged with second-degree murder, York Region Const. Tom Carrique told a news conference.

Shortly afterwards, "as a result of investigative efforts that followed," police recovered human remains northeast of this north Toronto suburb, Carrique said.

"We believe the remains are those of Alicia Ross."

Now her boyfriend, Sean Hine can come out from under the microscope of public scrutiny and begin the healing process. Alicia went missing just after midnight on Aug. 17 from the backyard of the home where she lived with her parents.

CTV News reported that Ross's remains were found in two locations: the town of Manilla, about 50 kilometres northeast of Markham, and in the Kawartha Lakes area, another 50 kilometres east of Manilla.

The discovery of the remains came just days after the body of another slain Ontario woman was found on the weekend.

The decomposing body of Jennifer Teague, 18, of Ottawa, was found near a hiking trail on Sunday, 10 days after she went missing while walking home from a late-night shift at a Wendy's restaurant. Police are still searching for suspects.

I hope these two killers feel the pain they have caused, a hundred times over.

Clip from The West Wing

In a previous post I mentioned that I had the fortunate pleasure of being on the set of "The West Wing" when they came up to Canada to do a shoot. They shot this scene in a hockey arena in Ancaster, Ontario during December of 2004. Ancaster is a suberb of Hamilton. Here is the clip from The West Wing season 6 episode 15.
